Swiss Company developing super light Airbag system

News just in is that Swiss Company "Air and Snow" are developing a new super-light airbag system for snowsports enthusiasts. While the idea of airbags is nothing new, the two key things that make most people shy away from airbags is the weight and the price.

At the moment I don't know what the price will be, but the weight is going to be around 1600g !!That's approximately half of the weight of ABS, Snowpulse and the BCA systems. The company have developed the system using exisiting lightweight lifejacket air cylinders (2 per sack), and are nearing the end of the development process. They hope to have the system on the market for next winter.
